Thanksgiving Poem

trees
This is the one time of year,
When arbors look more delicious
than at any other time of year.
The morning October sun
illumines transparently on
maroon, green and peach/gold leaves.
In which I see earthen green beans with almonds,
Squash sauteed with clear onions, mushrooms with thyme
and a towering array of golden brownness
served warmly on a laden platter.
I wish you a most fulfilling and satisfying
Day of Giving Thanks.
